Embrace Braithwaite | Enjoy Nature!

In 2019, Emma and Mark embarked on a transformative journey, acquiring Fern Howe, a property that had previously hosted captivating photographic workshop holidays. With unbridled enthusiasm, they breathed new life into Fern Howe, meticulously restoring the property to its former glory while weaving their personal touch into every corner. Fern Howe Guest House, their labor of love, now graces the charming village of Braithwaite, nestled within the embrace of the Lake District National Park's World Heritage Site. Braithwaite, an idyllic destination, exudes an irresistible charm with its quaint allure, three inviting public houses, and a village store. Scenic walks crisscross the vicinity, and the village's prime location between the glistening Derwent Water and Bassenthwaite Lake, in proximity to the enchanting Whinlatter Forest, makes it a haven for visitors. The presence of the Coast to Coast (C2C) cycle route further enhances its allure. Fern Howe's elevated position within the village is not only an architectural feature but a promise of spectacular vistas. Most guest rooms offer unobstructed views of the majestic fells, including Skiddaw, Latrigg, and Blencathra. The Guest House is not merely a place to rest; it is an invitation to explore, a haven for families, cyclists, walkers, photographers, and artists, each of whom will discover a tapestry of local attractions awaiting their discovery.
