U.P. Badger Lodge B&B sits quietly along the wooded edge of Powell Lake, just minutes from the breathtaking sandstone cliffs, waterfalls, and scenic trails of Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore. This secluded lakeside retreat offers a rare blend of natural tranquility and effortless access to one of Michigan’s most awe-inspiring protected landscapes. Guests are welcomed into four tastefully appointed guest rooms—two within the main residence and two in the carriage suite above the garage—each thoughtfully designed for comfort, privacy, and rest. Accommodating no more than eight guests per night, the lodge provides a peaceful, intimate experience for couples, families, or friends seeking a refined escape into Michigan’s Northwoods.
U.P. Badger Lodge B&B offers a tranquil, lakeside retreat just outside Munising, Michigan, where guests can enjoy cozy accommodations, a light breakfast, and direct access to nature—all within the township’s carefully preserved guidelines. Located only minutes from Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore, this B&B provides an ideal base for exploring the park’s towering sandstone cliffs, waterfalls, and pristine hiking trails along the Lake Superior shoreline.
U.P. Badger Lodge B&B operates under a legal non-conforming use permit granted by Munising Township. The property complies with all township conditions, including:
- This B&B property is listed and operated exclusively as a Bed and Breakfast, not as multiple vacation rentals. It is zoned for a maximum of eight (8) guests per night, which includes the use of four designated guest rooms (two in the main residence and two in the garage suite) and a strict annual limit of 61 rental nights
- No expansion of rental space or guest capacity is permitted. For the preservation of our zoning permit and the comfort of all guests, occupancy limits are strictly enforced. Any parties exceeding the approved guest capacity will be asked to vacate the property without refund.. All parking is on-site only; parking on Powell Lake Road is prohibited.
