Each suite has its own unique quality. From the General Lee Suite to the Lincoln Presidential Suite, you’ll feel like you’ve traveled back in time to the 19th Century. Each suite has a Private luxury bath that has been fully renovated for your comfort. The suite comes with a complimentary tour of the Museum and Art Gallery where you will explore history on a self-guided tour (live tour if requested) of historic artifacts and documents dating from 1483 – 1758, read through an actually newspaper covering the battle of Shiloh and its impact in April of 1862, and hold an 1800’s Civil War Cavalry Saber in your hand! In the temperate months, you’ll enjoy the large porches and rocking chairs while stargazing. Our remote location away from major cities makes us the perfect spot for viewing a universe filled with celestial events. Remember, as you approach the home, make sure you look to the left of the driveway and see Civil War Earth Works where soldiers once stood defending the homestead.

Our delicious three- course gourmet breakfast is served on a 14-foot antebellum table that was designed and constructed in Washington DC during the presidency of Andrew Jackson in the 19th Century. This beautiful dining room will be the setting to remember, as you enjoy French parfaits, delicate fruit cups and gourmet souffles perfectly cooked with southern spices and a touch of European flair. The flavorful courses are completed with the sweet taste of French pastries, Belgian waffles, or Russian crapes, or whatever delicacy the chef can dream up with your personal tastes in mind. Our gourmet breakfast is truly a dining experience where you and your loved ones can indulge yourself and can feel like royalty! Shiloh Chennault B&B History
Shiloh Chennault Bed and breakfast was first constructed in 1840 by the Chennault family who were the ancestors of the first French Huguenots who settled in settled the area in the early 19th Century. Of course, the home was involved in the US Civil War during and after the battle of Shiloh from 4 to 6 April 1862. After the war, the Chennaults continued to cultivate the farmland and add on to the once meager farmhouse. The home was owned by the Chennault family, a family name made famous by Claire Chennault, the intrepid leader of the Flying Tigers during WWII. Polina and Jonathan became the owners in 2013 and began an intensive renovation which lasted through 2018 to turn it into the Plantation it is today. They added the Museum and Art Gallery in 2018 when Jonathan retired as a Naval Aviator from the United States Navy, with service in Operations Desert Storm, Iraqi Freedom, and Operation New Dawn. So, take a quick weekend trip to West Tennessee for an anniversary, a birthday, or for the rest and relaxation you deserve. This Luxury B&B, with its proximity to Shiloh National Park and its Civil War Heritage, continues to be the premium B&B and Inn for those wishing to experience the historic south in all its grandeur.

Jonathan and Polina, who live on site with their son, are wonderful hosts. Creative, energetic, interesting far beyond civil war history. The house, occupied during the war with entrenchments in the yard, teems with their world class collection of artifacts. They’re eager to interpret and offer for handling, or helping appreciate the dozens of original paintings and furnishings from the Middle Ages, Renaissance, and recent. The setting of this antebellum plantation house is classic. 1st class.

A simply beautiful Bed and Breakfast at which my husband and I very much enjoyed staying. Polina and Jonathan are fabulous hosts with a love for history and spoiling their guests with great food. Convenient to Shiloh National Battlefield … a must stay for Civil War buffs and those just looking to get away.

By far the best experience my husband and I had at a B and B. We stayed in the Presidential Suite, which was a beautiful and spacious room. Our host and hostess were so nice and very hospitable. They went out of their way to make sure our stay was wonderful. The breakfast in the morning was AMAZING! Loved the attention to detail of everything. We loved everything from the tour right when we got there, to our room to the breakfast. We will absolutely be back!!!

A Must See Destination

There are no words to truly describe the experience that we had while visiting the Shiloh Chennault Bed & Breakfast (but I will try). From the scenic entrance to the property to the exquisite three-course breakfast that was served each morning, Shiloh Chennault is a destination for anyone who appreciates history, culture, and fine accommodations. The proprietors are extremely welcoming and personable people who are sensitive to their guests needs and desire to provide a comfortable and relaxing experience for all. We were fortunate to visit with them and their family at length and left feeling that we have established a life long friendship. The room accommodations are luxurious with silk pillowcases, comfortable beds and seating areas, with large, rich en suites in each room. Throughout the manor you will find spectacular examples of beautiful art, each with a unique and fascinating story provided by the owners. During the day we toured the nearby historic Shiloh Battleground as well as the town of Corinth. Our evenings were spent on the large verandah, sipping wine and watching the beautiful sunset. Our visit to Shiloh Chennault was a first and will definitely not be the last!

Shiloh Chennault Bed and Breakfast is truly the greatest!! They have thought of everything from a ready hot tub upon our arrival to sweet treats in the mini-fridge. The owners take hospitality to the utmost and truly care about each guest. It’s in a gorgeous historical home filled with fabulous art and historical artifacts. The area is full of history. My husband and I went there for our tenth and fifteenth anniversary because we can’t find a better Bed and Breakfast. The bed is super comfy with a memory foam mattress, breakfast is superb, we felt right at home.

Stayed for one night and thoroughly enjoyed. The Art, the House, the most fabulous breakfast. Really enjoyed the passion the owners displayed from explaining the Artwork to just the great hospitality.
